Turning resolutions into Goals for 2025

Pilates, yoga Manning perth

What are you hoping for this year, and how can you make it happen? What habits can be changed to sustainably improve your New Year and leave you looking back with joy, accomplishment and fulfillment?

January is when we’re prone to wonder what direction the upcoming year will take. Have you found time to reevaluate, to set goals and consider your intentions for this year?

The exact stats vary, but we know most ‘new years resolutions’ are abandoned within the first few weeks of the new year. You’ve probably experienced it yourself. Many times we make a resolution that is such a BIG change from our current habits, that it’s just not sustainable for us. Or maybe we haven’t considered the deeper cause for this desire to change something.

Often facing the discomfort and exploring our thinking patterns, thought processes and narratives we tell ourselves, we’re able to review goals and changes more critically. We can choose the ‘right’ things to work towards by reviewing where this desire for change is coming from.

You might find it helpful to grab some paper and ask yourself:

  • What am I bothered by right now?
  • What did the past year teach me?
  • Where do I feel most fatigued and why?

If you’re open to journaling, know that this is for your eyes only. Notice if you hold back on some of your thoughts and try to be as honest as possible. If it helps, get rid of the page once you’re done!

However this goes and whatever you choose to do, it’s a great step to set some time aside to reflect on your past year. Understand that this is often uncomfortable, you may feel overwhelmed or want to just stop doing this, but it’s all part of the process.

We’re bringing you another blogpost with more info on goal setting soon.

If you feel inspired and would consider charing your experience or ideas, we’d love to hear from you! Send us 2 lines in Feb 2025 for a chance to win a Majesteas sachet of your preferred tea, or some of our Bliss formula (from our last blogpost). What are your goals this year and why?
